Each upgrade takes an item to a higher-quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces. Unlike other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next success result is rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted. Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of each Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grasping them. Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can boost the item's stats.
